Meet Sarah

Originally from the New England Area of NSW, Sarah’s roots of healthcare began in the Northern Rivers and Sydney where she completed her Bachelor of Nursing training and graduate work. Transitioning to Queesland and working in the Gladstone region for the last 17 years saw a pivotal shift to community driven care, notably in Chronic Disease Management. With the backing of a Health Workforce Qld scholarship – an organisation focused on regional healthcare initiatives and shortages – Sarah completed a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education. Embodying a commitment to proactive community health, Sarah supports the local community with Medicare funded diabetes education services and strives to improve the quality of life for people living with diabetes.

With an unwavering commitment to learning, Sarah has most recently completed further accredited training in micro-suction for cerumen (wax) removal. Sarah’s ambition for Coastal Health CQ is to work with the local industry based community to develop and provide ear health maintenance services and address issues experienced around ear health in the coastal climate.

With the community being close to her heart, Sarah believes in fostering care to all socioeconomic levels, with a vision to recapture life and revolutionise patient care in the local Gladstone community.
